Trying to lose body fat after the age of 40 isn’t always as simple as people sometimes make it seem.
It comes with its challenges.
That’s why I’m going to demystify the process of what to eat, how to workout without spending countless hours in your gym and what important steps you need to take in your daily life which is going to save you a lot of frustration and energy.
When I first encountered stubborn fat and weight on my body after the age of 40, I didn’t know what to do…
I hated feeling like I was gaining all the weight and my body wasn’t changing no matter how few calories I ate and how much exercise I pushed myself to do.
What I discovered was these steps that I'm going to share with you this next month.
The old patterns were actually creating a bigger problem for me.
The weight crept up no matter how low my calories were set at or how much exercise I could handle to push myself through.
I later learned that eating less and pushing through endless hours of exercise were adding more fat to my body.
This process was unexpected but worked really well, and that opened the door to my energy levels increasing and my confidence building up.
Imagine if you were able to lose the stubborn body fat and weight with ease and without the starvation diets or long, grueling hours of exercise that are so common among women who feel desperate to lose the fat.
This isn’t just my experience.
I have a really powerful story to share about one of my clients.
She was feeling desperate to lose the extra weight on her body after she noticed her body changed after she turned 40.
Although she had been exercising regularly and cutting back on her calories, she noticed that the scale continued to creep upwards and her clothes were fitting tighter. She was understandably frustrated and unsure of what to do next.
Together, we created a plan for her to increase her daily calories and choose the most nutrient dense foods, she started to notice small changes in her body.
She also committed to increasing her sleep and decreasing her stress, while committing to being intentional in how she was exercising. These simple steps seemed unimpressive in creating a shift but the weight finally started to drop and she eventually achieved her goal of wearing a bathing suit in public during her family summer vacation. She wanted to be an example to her young daughters on what it looks like to live life as a confident and healthy woman.
After following this process, her life has been impacted in such a powerful way; unlike any temporary diet and exercise plan could have given her.
There are essentially 5 steps to achieving this type of transformation:
- nutrition basics to speed up your metabolism,
- a training system that prioritizes strength training and fat burning,
- a set of specific and strategic stress reduction steps,
- a system to implement better sleep strategies
